Bringing you fresh locally roasted coffee & delicious ‘made from scratch’ crepes since 2018. We believe that great coffee and incredible fresh foods shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. We love welcoming people from all backgrounds to spend time in our fun and friendly cafes where we get to make you happy by creating fun and yummy foods to meet all your expectations and dietary needs. ✨ A Bittersweet Farewell & a New Beginning in Ladysmith ✨
This month marks 7 wonderful years since Ironworks Cafe & Crêperie first opened its doors in Ladysmith, BC. It’s been an incredible journey filled with community, connection, and countless crêpes—and I’m so deeply grateful for the love and support we’ve received from each and every one of you over the years.
As we celebrate this milestone, I’m also sharing some big news: this chapter in Ladysmith is coming to a close for me, as I’ve officially sold the Ladysmith location.
Starting soon, the cafe will be lovingly rebranded as Beans and Banter Cafe & Crêperie under the new ownership of Karen Love—a proud Ladysmith resident with a big heart and a lifelong dream of owning her own café. Karen is incredibly passionate about great food, warm conversation, and community connection. I can’t think of a better person to carry on what we’ve built together.
You’ll still see the same amazing team and your favourite menu, but now with a fresh name and a local owner who is deeply rooted in Ladysmith.
While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, I’m excited to focus on my Duncan and Nanaimo locations, as well as my growing travel agency—all of which continue to fuel my passion and purpose.
Thank you, Ladysmith, for 7 unforgettable years. I hope you’ll give Karen the same warmth and support you’ve always shown me.
